Sgt. 1st Class Michael Mortimer, E Company, 407th Brigade Support Battalion, 2nd Brigade Combat Team, 82nd Airborne Division stands with two Egyptian soldiers during a social event on Sept. 28, 2009, to introduce paratroopers participating in Operation Bright Star. Troopers from Egypt, Germany, Pakistan and Kuwait arrived to Fort Bragg, N.C., to kick off the first half of the operation. On Oct. 12, U.S. troops will travel to Egypt to complete it.
