Afghan national police from the Sar Hawza District of Paktika province, Afghanistan, load up in their trucks, Sept. 7, in preparation to conduct joint operations with Paratroopers from 1st Battalion, 501st Parachute Infantry Regiment, 4th Brigade Combat Team, 25th Infantry Division and Soldiers from Police Mentoring Team tasked with searching specific target locations in order to locate militants operating in the area. This joint mission was in support of Operation Thunder Darau that involved ANSF and International Security Assistance Forces within Paktika targeting specific individuals and locations to better secure the area for the civilians.
