Hundreds of Soldiers and Marines from the 3rd U.S. Infantry Regiment (The Old Guard) and Joint Base Myer-Henderson Hall competed for bragging rights in the annual JBM-HH/The Old Guard Urban Warrior Challenge and Organization Day June 18 at the Fort Myer portion of the joint base. Organized by Marine Corps Community Services Henderson Hall and Family and Morale, Welfare and Recreation, the day-long event included a series of athletic competitions among the various teams of Soldiers and Marines, such as football, volleyball, a tire roll, dizzy izzy relay and tug of war match. The event also included children’s games and activities, as well as informational booths from various colleges, financial institutions and both MCCS and FMWR activities.
