Los Angeles Air Force Base and the Space and Missile Systems Center hosts a visit from four engineering students identified to participate in the Science, Mathematics And Research for Transformation (SMART) Scholarship for Service Program in El Segundo, Calif., on June 16, 2015. The SMART Scholarship Program (SSP) is part of the National Defense Education Program (NDEP). It is an opportunity for students pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) disciplines to receive a full scholarship and be gainfully employed upon degree completion.
