Cpl. Donald White, left, the color sergeant for the 22nd Marine Expeditionary Unit and a San Diego native, inspects the color guard riflemen prior to a memorial for retired Marine Col. Michael Hicks held aboard Camp Buehring, Kuwait, Aug. 10. The 22nd MEU Color Guard participated in the memorial at the request of Hicks' co-workers from DynCorp International, which provides fire and rescue services for several military bases in Kuwait. The 22nd MEU is in Kuwait to conduct sustainment training while serving as the theater reserve force for U.S. Central Command.
