Maj. Will Alley, chaplain, 2nd Brigade Combat Team, 82nd Airborne Division, welcomes paratroopers and guests to the All American Week Prayer Breakfast, May 19, 2015. Retired Command Sgt. Maj. Kenneth “Rock” Merrit spoke about his experiences as a paratrooper with the 508th Parachute Infantry Regiment, 82nd Abn. Div. During Merrit’s time in division, he jumped into Normandy and Operation Market Garden and fought in the Battle of the Bulge. All American Week is an opportunity for 82nd Abn. Div. paratroopers, past and present, and their families to come together and enjoy the camaraderie and celebrate being members of the All American Division.
