SAN DIEGO (May 13, 2015) - Capt. Leonard Reed, right, commanding officer of the amphibious transport dock ship USS Somerset (LPD 25), and Army Lt. Gen. Robert Abrams, senior military adviser to the secretary of defense, make a stop to the ship’s museum during a ship's tour. Somerset is currently undergoing a five-month post-shakedown availability (PSA) period. The ninth San Antonio-class amphibious transport dock ship, Somerset is named in honor of the crew and passengers of United Airlines Flight 93, which crashed near Shanksville, Pa., in Somerset County during the Sept. 11, 2001 terrorist attacks.
