Lance Cpl. Kevin Howard Jr., from West Palm Beach, Florida, completes the final objective in the obstacle course May 4 on Camp Hansen, Okinawa. The reopening of the course has been an ongoing project for more than two years. The previous course was thoroughly used and worn down by the climate and typhoons characteristic of Okinawa. Marines must jump over logs, scale walls and climb a rope throughout the course. Howard is a tropospheric scatter radio multi-channel equipment operator with 7th Communication Battalion, III Marine Expeditionary Force Headquarters Group, III MEF. (U.S. Marine photo by Lance Cpl.
