A landing craft air cushion, from Assault Craft Unit 4, kicks up a wall of water before sliding into the well-deck of the amphibious transport dock USS Ponce (LPD 15) off the coast of a Middle Eastern country, July 11. Ponce, part of the Bataan Amphibious Ready Group, is supporting Maritime Security Operations in the U.S. 5th Fleet area of operations. The 22nd Marine Expeditionary Unit, embarked aboard the ships of the Bataan ARG, is serving as the theater reserve force for U.S. Central Command.
