150405-N-AD372-890 WATERS SOUTH OF THE KOREAN PENINSULA, (April 5, 2015) Sailors aboard the mine countermeasure ship USS Chief (MCM 14), perform routine maintenance on the magnetic cable assembly prior to a mine sweep training exercise. Chief is currently participating in Exercise Foal Eagle 2015, a series of annual training events that are defense-oriented and designed to increase readiness and maintain stability on the Korean Peninsula while strengthening the Republic of Korea - U.S. alliance and promoting regional peace and stability in the Indo-Asia-Pacific region.
