Aircrew members of the first aircraft to land on the newly refurbished runway here stand in front of their C-130 Hercules, June 16 just after arriving at Sather. The runway was closed for approximately 5.5 months while repairs were underway. Renovations included concrete and joint repairs, rubber residue removal, and runway striping and painting. The C-130, and majority of the aircrew, is deployed to the 737th Expeditionary Airlift Squadron, Southwest Asia, from Dyess Air Force Base, Texas.
