MAYPORT, Fla. (March 9, 2015) - Boatswain's Mate 2nd Class Lucas Foley, from Houston, Tx., right, and Ensign Aaron Hampton, from St. Augustine, Fla., man the helm of the Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer USS Farragut (DDG 99) as the ship departs Naval Station Mayport. Faragut is part of the Theodore Roosevelt Carrier Strike Group (TRCSG), which is composed of the Nimitz-class aircraft carrier USS Theodore Roosevelt (CVN 71), Carrier Air Wing (CVW) 1, the guided-missile cruiser USS Normandy (CG 60), and the guided-missile destroyers USS Winston S. Chrurchill (DDG 81) and USS Forrest Sherman (DDG 98). TRCSG will conduct operations in the U.S. Navy’s 5th, 6th and 7th Fleet areas of responsibility.
