    150215-N-YW024-113 - PACIFIC OCEAN (Feb. 15, 2015) - Sailors assigned to the Helicopter Maritime Squadron (HSM) 35 of the littoral combat ship USS Fort Worth (LCS 3) Crew 102 perform foreign object and debris walk down on the littoral combat ship USS Freedom (LCS 1) during an Independent Deployer Certification Exercise (IDCERTEX) Feb. 15. IDCERTEX, led by Commander, U.S. 3rd Fleet (C3F) and executed by Commander, Carrier Strike Group (CSG) 15, is being conducted Feb. 9-20 off the Coast of Southern California and Hawaii. The exercise includes Crew 102, embarked aboard Freedom, the guided-missile destroyers USS Lake Champlain (CG 57), USS Chosin (CG 65) and the guided-missile destroyers USS Preble (DDG 88) and USS Chafee (DDG 90). IDCERTEX will serve as CSG 15's final opportunity to evaluate and certify Preble, Chafee and Crew 102 across multiple warfare areas prior to regularly scheduled deployments.
