Marines from II Marine Expeditionary Force (Forward) engage targets with with ground and Humvee-mounted M2 .50-caliber heavy machine guns during the live-fire portion of a machine gun familiarization course aboard Camp Lejeune, Nov. 21, 2008. The two-day course is designed to prepare non-infantry Marines for combat operations when the unit deploys to Iraq in 2009.
