A U.S. Navy F/A-18 Super Hornet with Strike Fighter Squadron 106 flies above the runway at Marine Corps Air Station Cherry Point, N.C., Feb. 5, 2015. Its runways operate 24/7, 365 days each year, and the air station hosts squadrons that specialize in air-to-ground attack support; heavy helicopter lift and transport; electronic warfare; aerial transport and refueling; and sea and land search and rescue.
