The crew of the Coast Guard Fast Response Cutter Margaret Norvell interdicted a go-fast with two drug smugglers and 18 bales of cocaine in the Caribbean Sea Jan. 31, 2015, while Dominican Republic navy authorities seized 32 additional bales of cocaine jettisoned from a second drug smuggling vessel. The illegal drug shipment weighed approximately 2,064 pounds and is estimated to have a wholesale value of $24 million.
