Legalman 1st Class Elsa Weller, a native of Santa Paula, Calif., participates in a burial at sea ceremony on the aircraft elevator aboard the aircraft carrier USS Theodore Roosevelt (CVN 71). A burial at sea is a time honored ceremony available to active duty members of the armed services, retirees and veterans who received honorable discharges. TR is underway participating in composite training unit exercise (COMPTUEX), which tests the Theodore Roosevelt Carrier Strike Group's ability to effectively react to real-world scenarios and perform as an integrated unit.
