U.S. Air Force Airman 1st Class Daniel Anderson marshals a 60k loader of pallets with personal protection kits at Charleston Air Force Base, S.C., May 8. There are 30,000 personal protection kits destined for Haiti, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras and Nicaragua, where health-care officials are responding to confirmed and suspected cases of H1N1 Influenza-A infections. U.S. Southern Command, headquartered in Miami, directed the mission after learning that health officials submitted requests for assistance to U.S. embassies in their respective countries. Anderson is a air transportation specialist with the 437th Aerial Port Squadron at Charleston AFB.
