Pfc. Ashley B. Sena, honor graduate of platoon 4044, awaits graduation at Marine Corps Recruit Depot Parris Island, S.C., Dec. 19, 2014. Sena, a Fairview, Ala. native, was recruited by Staff Sgt. Michael W. Hauck, a recruiter from Recruiting Sub Station Birmingham, Recruiting Station Montgomery. Recruit training signifies the transformation of a civilian to a United States Marine. Upon graduation, the newly-minted Marines will receive ten days of leave before attending the School of Infantry East, Camp Geiger, N.C.
