Secretary of the Air Force Deborah Lee James talks with U.S. Air Force Col Mark Hedlund, 168th Air Refueling Wing commander, Nov. 26, 2014, at Eielson Air Force Base, Alaska. The 168th ARW trains Alaska's Guardsmen, who provide a constant Air Force capability of Global Reach and Vigilance, by means of the KC-135 aircraft and early warning space system, and stand ready to protect American resources and Alaskan communities. James visited Eielson as part of a visit to get a first-hand look at total force Airmen in action across the Pacific with stops in Guam, Hawaii, Japan and the Republic of Korea.
