Brig. Gen. Donnie Walker Jr., commanding general of the 3rd Sustainment Command (Expeditionary), and Command Sgt. Maj. Edward A. Bell, command sergeant major of the 3rd ESC, case the 3rd ESC colors during a ceremony Dec. 1 at Bagram Air Field, Afghanistan. The 3rd ESC cased its colors after an eight-month deployment to Afghanistan where it served as the last ESC in Afghanistan and was responsible for sustainment and retrograde operations during the final stages of Operation Enduring Freedom.
