The town of Silencio, Costa Rica, enjoyed a full day of health care services administered by the New Mexico Army National Guard Medical Detachment and Air Force South. Services included a Costa Rican dental team, pharmacy technicians, internal medicine doctors and preventive health specialists. In a town where the local health care providers write scripts on a typewriter, the sight of a helicopter is rare. The citizens of the area were able to touch and experience a New Mexico Army National Guard Black Hawk when it landed at the soccer field. The helicopters are transporting dignitaries and media personnel.
