A rescued, disabled bald eagle lands on a perch at the Yukla 27 Memorial Park on Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson, Alaska, Monday, Oct. 10, 2014. On Elmendorf Air Force Base, Sept. 22, 1995, a Boeing E-3B Sentry AWACS from the 962nd Airborne Air Control Squadron crashed shortly after takeoff for a routine surveillance training sortie.
