Hajime Nakama, left, and Col. Sean M. McBride sign a local implementation agreement for disaster response Sept. 29 at the Palms, Camp Hansen. The agreement provides shelter on Camp Hansen to Kin Town residents in the event of a natural disaster, while opening up the installation for local first responders to train bilaterally with their Marine counterparts. Nakama is the mayor of Kin Town. McBride is from Butte, Montana, and is the camp commander for Camp Hansen.
