An Amphibious Assault Vehicle (AAV), assigned to the 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU), disembarks a Landing Craft Air Cushion, assigned to Naval Beach Unit (NBU) 7, in preparation for an amphibious landing exercise during PHIBLEX 15. PHIBLEX is an annual bilateral training exercise with the Armed Forces of the Philippines. NBU 7 and the 31st MEU are part of the Peleliu Expeditionary Strike Group, commanded by Rear Adm.
