Pfc. Cynthia Cruz, a native of Fresno, Calif., and a shower, laundry, and clothing repair specialist fills the position as Combat Lifesaver for the 590th Quartermaster Company, 398th Combat Sustainment Support Battalion, 10th Sustainment Brigade. Cruz, pictured center, recently served as the Combat Lifesaver to the Soldiers of the 590th QM Co., during a recent M16 qualification range. Cruz continually stands prepared and ready for any situation that may require a Soldier to receive medical attention. The Combat Lifesaver is a vital role in the 590th QM Co. and its ability to safely conduct its mission and many training objectives. Cruz comments, "I feel privileged to be entrusted with the responsibility in providing first responder medical care to my fellow Soldiers. The 590th could not accomplish its wartime mission without the dedication of its Soldiers to maintain their Warrior Task and Drills." The 590th is currently serving a 15-month tour in Iraq in support of Multi-National Division - Baghdad.
