Spc. Luis Rios was assigned to Tango Company, 266th Quartermaster Battalion, while attending the food service specialist course. Upon his arrival to Fort Lee more than a year ago, he was diagnosed with cancer. In seven months, he underwent surgery, chemotherapy and physical rehabiltation but returned to school complete the course. He graduated Aug. 27 and was assigned to Fort Bragg, N.C.
