Aviation structural mechanic Airman Nick Cope, from Albany, Ore., reads "The Night Before Christmas" to his daughter and talks to his wife as part of the United Through Reading Program in the Stennis Room aboard the Nimitz-class aircraft carrier USS John C. Stennis. United Through Reading is a program designed to keep Sailors in touch with their families. Stennis is on a scheduled six-month deployment to the western Pacific Ocean.
