A Reconnaissance Marine with Special Purpose Marine Air Ground Task Force South searches for his target with his M110 Semi-Automatic Sniper System during the second phase of a helicopter visit, board, search and seizure drill over open waters, Aug. 12, 2014. The drill was the live-fire portion of a two helicopter operation, with simulated Marines fast roping down from one helicopter while another Marine with a SASS provides cover from a second helicopter. The HVBSS drill was launched from the future amphibious assault ship USS America (LHA 6) where SPMAGTF-South is currently embarked in support of her maiden transit, "America Visit the Americas."
