    The runway restoration project at NATO Air Base Geilenkirchen, Germany, recently passed the 50 percent completion mark. Five of the nine construction phases have been accomplished and 1,900 meters of the 2,950 meter runway have been restored. The restoration project is now scheduled to end Sept. 22, 2014.
