About 50 Marines from Weapons Company, 2nd Battalion, 2nd Marine Regiment, 2nd Marine Division, participated in a live fire FGM-148 Javelin exercise July 9th at Camp Lejeune, N.C. The Marines participating were part of the combined anti-armor team, which uses several types of weapons systems to close with and destroy enemy armor. Two CAAT Marines practiced with the Command Launch Unit to view their target before attaching the ammunition. The Javelins were fired at targets several hundred yards away.
