Art Fitzgerald, a police officer with the Department of Veterans Affairs, leads a group of Veterans and employees playing the bagpipes at the start of the VA2K roll and walk May 21 at Castle Point, N.Y. The VA cited Fitzgerald's bagpipe playing as one of the reasons the VA Hudson Valley Healthcare System earned its first-place honor for "Most Unique Event," tying with another center in its category.
