Retired Navy Legalman 1st Class Shahnaz Askins reloads her rifle during the first day of competition for the 2014 Wound Warrior Team Navy Trials, in the gym on board Naval Station Norfolk June 4. Wounded Warrior athletes began arriving in Norfolk on May 31 and are finishing June 7. The Navy Trials are a precursor to the Warrior Games, an annual athletic competition hosted by the U.S. Olympic Committee that brings together more than 200 wounded warriors from all branches of military service.
