U.S. Marine Corps Lance Cpl. Nyeme M. Baker, a metal worker attached to 3rd Maintenance Battalion, Combat Logistics Regiment 35, 3rd Marine Logistics Group, III Marine Expeditionary Force, uses a blow torch to assist Philippine Marine Corps Staff Sgt. Mamerto B. Tuddao, a combat engineer assigned to Combat Engineer Company, Service Support Battalion, Combat Service Support Brigade, in cutting holes in a 55-gallon drum barrel May 2, 2014 in Crow Valley, Philippines. The two nation’s militaries are working together during Exercise Balikatan 2014, which officially begins May 5. The exercise will focus on improving military-to-military relations along with increasing the interoperability between the two nations.
