Aerographer's mate Airman Matt Palkovic, assigned to Strike Group Oceanographic Team, Norfolk, embarked aboard the amphibious assault ship USS Kearsarge, measures wind speed and direction with a handheld anemometer. Kearsarge is the primary platform for the Caribbean phase of Continuing Promise 2008, an equal-partnership mission involving the United States, Canada, the Netherlands, Brazil, Nicaragua, Colombia, Dominican Republic, Trinidad and Tobago and Guyana.
