Air crew members from the amphibious assault ship USS Kearsarge remove simulated injured personnel from the flight deck during a damage control training exercise. Kearsarge crew members conduct training exercises often to ensure mission readiness. Kearsarge is supporting the Caribbean phase of Continuing Promise 2008, an equal-partnership mission between the United States, Canada, the Netherlands, Brazil, Nicaragua, Columbia, Dominican Republic, Trinidad and Tobago and Guyana.
