Staff Sgt. Sean Fishburne, 379th Expeditionary Logistics Readiness Squadron, tests the high-level sensor in a fuel truck by verifying exactly 1511 gallons of fuel was pumped into the tank when the sensor stopped fuel pumping Sept. 22, 2008. The truck has been reported as having a problem with the sensor that cuts off the flow of fuel as it reaches a maximum height within the fuel tank at this undisclosed air base in Southwest Asia. To check the sensor a set amount of fuel is pumped out of the truck, and then the automatic system pumps fuel in until the fuel reaches the sensor and automatically shuts off the flow of fuel into the tank. If the amount of fuel pumped out equals the amount pumped in before sensor shut off, the sensor is working properly. Sergeant Fishburne, a native of Charleston, S.C., is deployed from Dover Air Force Base, Del., in support of Operations Iraqi and Enduring Freedom and Joint Task Force - Horn of Africa.
