A Coast Guard Dolphin helicopter from Air Station Detroit hovers above ice-covered Lake Erie while a crew member works to gather ice depth measurements in support of the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, March 5, 2014. During the two-day mission, measurements were taken in 20 locations around the lake with depth readings ranging from 3 inches to more than 3 feet.
