Josh Mattingly, Marine Medium Tiltrotor Squadron (VMM) 263 (Reinforced), 22nd Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU), CH-53E Super Stallion helicopter power plant mechanic and native of Cassville, Mo., operates a hangar bay crane to remove the main rotor control from an AH-1W Super Cobra helicopter during scheduled maintenance aboard the USS Bataan (LHD 5), at sea, Feb. 13, 2014. The MEU is deploying to the U.S. 5th and 6th Fleet areas of responsibility with the Bataan Amphibious Ready Group as a sea-based, expeditionary crisis response force capable of conducting amphibious missions across the full range of military operations.
