Adm. Mark Ferguson, vice chief of Naval Operations and his wife, Lauré Ferguson, speak with senior officers, enlisted leaders and their spouses during a visit to Command Leadership School (CLS) in Newport, R.I. The mission of CLS is to prepare the leadership triad and command support team for their unique roles. Ferguson's visit came as part of a two-day trip to Newport and included visits to the U.S. Naval War College, Naval Station (NAVSTA) Newport, Surface Warfare Officers School, Naval Academy Preparatory School, CLS and the Senior Enlisted Academy. Additionally, Ferguson participated in an Executive Steering Committee discussion with NAVSTA Newport regarding Sexual Assault Prevention and Response/Sexual Assault Response Coordination.
