The flight-deck crew of the guided-missile destroyer USS Hopper (DDG 70) refuels an MH-60S Seahawk helicopter assigned to the Chargers of Helicopter Sea Combat Squadron (HSC) 26 during exercise Spartan Kopis in the Arabian Gulf. Spartan Kopis is a U.S. 5th Fleet training event that validates the effectiveness of using joint aviation assets in a joint and combined maritime environment, as well as exercising joint force command and control structure and communications.
