Troopers assigned to Apache troop, 1st squadron “Tiger”, 3rd Cavalry Regiment engage in an air assault training exercise May 30 at training area 113, Fort Hood. The exercise, which included two CH-47 Chinook helicopters, simulated a terrorist group infiltrating Fort Hood and taking a person hostage. Apache troop airlifted across post to assault the terrorists believed location.
