FORT MACON, N.C. - Coast Guard Cutter Smilax, moored up at its homeport of Coast Guard Station Fort Macon after its Queen of the Fleet ceremony, April 11, 2011. The 67-year-old cutter Smilax was bestowed the title and its gold hull numbers, as it is now the oldest commissioned cutter in use by the service.
