The motor vessel John D. Leitch, a 730-foot Canadian-flagged laker, passes by Coast Guard Station Lorain, Ohio, after running into and damaging a concrete pier and a Northern Border Initiative boat, Oct. 3, 2012.
The John D. Leitch received minor damage, but the NBI boat and pier were damaged due to the incident and the damage assessment is on-going.
