Coast Guard Personnel aboard the Coast Guard Cutter Sycamore lift a DESMI "Polar Bear"?ﾝ from the Arctic Ocean after a Spilled Oil Recovery System exercise near Barrow, Alaska, Aug. 2, 2012. Retrieving the skimmer marked the end of the three-day oil recovery systems exercise, the first of its kind in the Arctic Ocean, that was designed to test the suitability of new equipment in the extreme environment.
