Matthew Sibley, commander of Coast Guard Sector Lake Michigan, stands with award recipients following a ceremony here May 23, 2012, during which multiple local Michigan first responders and citizens received awards for their involvement in the rescues of 30 swimmers during separate rip current incidents in Holland and South Haven, Mich., in August 2011.
