Hansen Clarke, who represents Michigan's 13th Congressional District and serves on the House Committee on Homeland Security, thanks those involved with acquiring Rescue 21 at Coast Guard Sector Detroit during an acceptance ceremony for the cutting-edge search and rescue communications system there Sept. 30, 2011. Rescue 21 allows the Coast Guard to better locate mariners in distress and save lives and property at sea and on navigable rivers by helping to take the search out of search and rescue.
