HILLSBORO BEACH, Fla. -- People young and old, in uniform and casual, gather to celebrate Hillsboro Lighthouse Day in Hillsboro Beach March 12, 2011. The day's events included tours of the lighthouse and an unveiling of the newest AT&T The Real Yellow Pages phonebook cover for the Florida cities of Pompano Beach and Coral Springs, which contains an image of the Hillsboro lighthouse and inlet. The event was arranged by the Hillsboro Lighthouse Preservation Society, which was founded in 1997 to preserve the Hillsboro Light Station in its original form for the safety, enjoyment and education of the public.
