BUFFALO, N.Y. - A response boat from the Erie County Sheriffs Office escorts the tug Ohio, pushing a barge carrying windmill parts, as it transits through the Buffalo River Nov. 12, 2010. The sheriff boat and a response boat from Coast Guard Station Buffalo were called out to help when six protest boats fighting for the rights of Iron Workers Local Union 6 reportedly blocked the passage of the Ohio and another tug en route to help get the barge underway because they were being operated by out-of-state workers.
