U.S. COAST GUARD ACADEMY, Conn. - Second class cadets Joseph Dillier, Jamie Wright and Brett Godiksen held the portraits of the fallen aircrew of CG 6017 during a brief memorial service in honor of the fallen aircrew July 13, 2010 on the Washington Parade Field.
Rear Adm. J. Scott Burhoe, superintendent of the Academy, gave brief remarks followed by the observation of colors. The National Ensign was placed at half-staff to honor the crew.
The Corps of Cadets, officer candidates, swabs, and AIM students were all aligned in formation surrounding the flag pole for the memorial.
